2024 NFHPS Tour Guide Training Program

The Niagara Falls Historic Preservation Society proudly presents our annual Tour Guide Training Program, designed to equip enthusiasts with the knowledge and skills to share the rich history of our iconic city.
Program Details:
 
Dates: September 14, September 21, September 28, October 5, October 12
Time: 9:00 a.m.—11:30 a.m./12:00 p.m.
Location: First Unitarian Universalist Church, 639 Main St., Niagara Falls, NY
Price: $100
 
This comprehensive five-week course covers:

  • Niagara Falls' geological and cultural history
  •  Key historical sites and their significance
  • Effective storytelling and presentation techniques
  • Group management and customer service skills
  • Safety protocols and accessibility considerations
 
Led by expert historians and experienced guides, this program combines lectures, interactive workshops, and on-site practice tours. Graduates will be well-prepared to conduct engaging and informative tours of historic buildings and places in Niagara Falls. As a part of this program, participants will receive an NFHPS T-shirt, one-year NFHPS Membership, and a Certificate of Completion
